Overview

Bîrî-save Sêdè was founded durring the late 13th century in winter of the year 1176, by Brilë. The establishment of Bîrî-save Sêdè suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Bîrî-save Sêdè was built using the conventions of Iron Elf durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Bîrî-save Sêdè is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Bîrî-save Sêdè is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of crampt cobblestone streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The city rests behind a set of well fortified walls, with gatehouses, watch towers, and battlments. Bîrî-save Sêdè's walls are, howeaver, fashioned from stone and timber. While unorthadox, the design looks to be functional to a reasonable degree. With luck, the untested design will remain untested for years to come. The unusual yet seemingly effective fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

A look around Bîrî-save Sêdè is like looking into a university’s plaza on the day before an exam. People rush about to-and-fro. Discarded scrolls and quills are dotted around city. In spite of many locals discussing academic topics, there’s little sign of any organized groups for any of that talk. Infact, the city seems disordered in general with everything scattered helter skelter about.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Bîrî-save Sêdè was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Bîrî-save Sêdè lost 249 people, 328 livestock, and 31 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 200, when members of Bîrî-save Sêdè's militia enacted an operation to transport a specific prototype to a particular prison unharmed. The operation was complicated by major logistical problems. The conflict ended with a last stand against the enemy until a particular event occurred, which ended in defeat for Bîrî-save Sêdè's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Bîrî-save Sêdè's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
